I have just finished 18 paintings for the
Nutcracker performance by 5678 Dance Studio

on December 15, 2012. What fun!  It's been a push to get them done on time, but I'm very pleased with the results.  Each showcases a costume from this Nutcracker performance and bring out the character's role in the story beautifully.  Every one is done in acrylics on 16"x20" canvas.  The paintings have turned out great but the ornaments I have created from them are nothing but cute, cute, cute. Every year at Christmas, I pull out all the ornaments that bring back the best memories for me and my family, and I can envision that these ornaments could do the same in years to come for a young girl to remember her role in this production.  For others, the Nutcracker is such a beloved Christmas tale that any one of these ornaments would make a great memory for someone's favorite part of the story..  Check out the ornaments here!

Anticipation for Spring

I couldn't wait for Anne Marie to send me the costumes she has chosen to be featured in my paintings this year so I started painting ballerinas--a puppy and 3 teddy bears. They were so much fun to paint!

5678 Dance Studio, Buford, GA

Grace
Ella

Ariel
I have just had the privilege of doing a series of paintings for the 5678 Dance Studio in Buford, GA.  The three 30"x60" paintings caused a great deal of excitement and the owner, Anne Marie Wilson, put the enthusiasm of her students to good use.  The girls named each one of the dancers and wrote essays about them.  The teachers picked a winner whose reward will be to perform the narration during the spring recital.  Since Grace was first, the studio ordered t shirts.  My daughter, Victoria, did the graphic design work.  It has been a delight to work on these canvases and I am thrilled the young dancers love them so.
